Lisa Dority

Bio

Lisa is one of those rare agents that divides her time equally between buyers and sellers.  She  takes time to listen carefully, and then negotiates a deal that works for everyone.  Her past career in community relations often found her negotiating solutions across state and federal organizations with many different stakeholders around the table. She believes that with just two interested parties (the buyer and the seller), real estate transactions can and should be structured without stress or conflict.

Over the past several years Lisa has helped over a dozen University of Miami faculty members purchase homes— many have chosen a home in one of her favorite “insider neighborhoods” where she has lived for the past 18 years and that just happens to be walking distance to the campus. She has a customized First Time Homebuyer Program that she’s put in place to help buyers sucessfully navigate the process from finding a home to securing a mortgage. She works with international and second home buyers who appreciate her methodical approach to finding the perfect condominium amongst the multitude of world class choices.  As a Certified Distressed Property Expert she is able to offer struggling homeowners a successful alternative to foreclosure.

For sellers, her background in community relations allows her to tailor unique marketing plans that separate her properties from the competition. Her exceptional knowledge of the neighborhoods she sells and her personal attention to detail gives buyers the information they need to fully consider her listings.  She personally accompanies every buyer to your home—she does not send an assistant or a buyer's agent.  When you hire Lisa, she sells your home, she doesn’t just market it.

She specializes in a number of premier “insider neighborhoods” that she has discovered over her 25 plus years in Miami.  She considers these small enclaves to be the gems of our city. They have stability of home ownership and are exceptionally well located.  Many of her favorite choices happen to be neighborhoods established in the 1950’s, that is after all when the world was introduced to air conditioning and Miami established itself as a destination. Consequently, she has a strong affinity for 50’s architecture and is an admirer of mid-century modern homes.

She has a deep and current understanding of school choice for families interested in either private and public options.  A school volunteer and past PTA president, Lisa recognizes that schools are the backbone of a neighborhood and she prides herself in helping families navigate the home buying process while integrating school options.

A New Englander by birth and  a graduate of Brown University, Lisa has lived in Miami for longer than she has lived any other city.  This is her home, she works hard to make the city a better place through her volunteer work and loves matching people with the neighborhood and the home of their dreams.
